About the Gold Country Section

The Gold Country Section of the Northern California & Nevada District Assemblies of God encompasses the Sierra foothill counties of Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne, a region rich in heritage, beauty, and spiritual opportunity.

Within this section are pastors and congregations faithfully serving their communities, some in long-established churches, others in church plants, each carrying the same desire: to see revival, renewal, and the transforming presence of Jesus Christ throughout the Gold Country.

Pray Gold Country exists to unite ministers, churches, and intercessors in prayer for this region. Together, we believe that when God’s people pray in agreement, spiritual strongholds are broken, churches are strengthened, and hearts are awakened to the gospel.

As we pray, we seek:

• A renewed outpouring of the Holy Spirit in every church.

• Strength and encouragement for every pastor and leader.

• Healing, salvation, and transformation in every community.

• Unity among congregations, so that together we advance God’s mission across our region.

In addition to other prayer initiatives and events, each month, we feature one church from the Gold Country Section as our Church of the Month, focusing on united prayer for that congregation, its leadership, and its local mission.

We invite you to join us as we pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done, from Ione to Tuolumne, from the mountain towns to the valley edges, until every corner of the Gold Country Section is touched by revival.
